Stefan Żeromski (pseud. Maurycy Zych, Józef Katerla, Stefan Iksmoleż) – polski pisarz, dramaturg i publicysta. Urodził się 14 października 1864 roku w Strawczynie niedaleko Kielc, zaś zmarł 20 listopada 1925 roku w Warszawie i tam na Cmentarzu Ewangelicko- Reformowanym złożono jego ciało. Stefan Żeromski był nazwany „sumieniem polskiej literatury” lub „sumieniem narodu”.
